役割概要 

PlayStationでは、グローバルに届ける言葉の力がコンテンツそのものと同じくらい重要です。PlayStation Studios QA Translation Servicesチームの一員として、スタジオのゲーム開発に限らず、SIE全体（ハードウェアエンジニアリング、製品開発、事業部門、コーポレートチーム等）における日英／英日コミュニケーションを支える高品質な翻訳・通訳を提供していただきます。時差や言語、文化の壁を越えて、PlayStationのグローバル連携を後押しする役割です。 

具体的な仕事内容 

• Interpret / 通訳：部内会議・イベント・エグゼクティブミーティングでの逐次／同時通訳（リモート・オンサイト両方） 

• Translate / 翻訳： 日英／英日翻訳（技術文書、ビジネス資料、外部向けコンテンツなど）。MTのポストエディットや用語・翻訳メモリの管理も含みます。 

• Collaborate / 連携：関係者との案件調整、グローバルチームとの協働。チーム支援や通翻訳サービスの品質評価にも従事。 

• Improve / 改善活動：ツールやフローの改善、ユーザーフィードバックの収集、ナレッジ共有に貢献。 
   

求める人材 

[必須条件] 

• 通訳者・翻訳者としての実務経験（3〜4年程度） 

• 日本語および英語での流暢レベルの言語能力 

• グローバルで部門横断的な環境で自律的に働ける能力 

[歓迎条件] 

• JLPT N1、TOEIC 990、EIKEN Grade 1、通翻訳に関わる資格 

• CATツール（例：Trados）、機械翻訳のポストエディット、M365やJIRAなどのツール使用経験 

• ゲーム開発、QA、ソフトウェアローカリゼーションに関する知識 

• サービス運用、オンボーディング、業務ドキュメント整備の支援経験

Role Overview 

At PlayStation, the global voice of our content is just as important as its creation. As a Translator on the PlayStation Studios QA Translation Services Team, you’ll deliver high-quality English <>  Japanese translation and interpretation to support communication across the entire Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) organization. This includes not only our studios’ game development, but also global business teams, hardware engineering, product development, and corporate leadership. You’ll help drive alignment across time zones, technologies, and cultures.  

What You’ll Be Doing  

• Interpret: Provide consecutive and simultaneous interpretation for department meetings, events, and executive sessions (remote/on-site).  

• Translate: Translate content (JE/EJ) including technical, business, and external-facing materials. Includes post-editing MT output and managing terminology assets. 

• Collaborate: Work closely with stakeholders and global peers; support team and quality assessment of translation and interpretation with team members.  

• Improve: Contribute to process/tool enhancements, gather user feedback, and help expand internal knowledge sharing. 
   

What we're looking for  

[Minimum Qualification] 

• 3–4 years of professional translator or interpreter experience (business environment preferred). 

• Strong fluency in written and spoken Japanese and English. 

• Skilled in managing expectations and clarity in ambiguous or cross-regional contexts. 

[Desired Qualifications] 

• JLPT N1 / TOEIC 990 / Translation or Interpretation certification or equivalent. 

• Experience with CAT tools (e.g., Trados), post-editing workflows, and remote collaboration tools (e.g., M365, JIRA). 

• Understanding of game development, QA workflows, or localization systems. 

• Experience supporting service operations, staff onboarding, or documentation development.
