Sr. Account Manager
San Mateo, CA / Hybrid
 
We are looking for a Senior Account Manager, reporting to the Global Account Director within the Strategic Segment. This individual will be the first point of contact and responsible for supporting the day-to-day business activity and overall health of the assigned partner(s). They will work internally across Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) and with external partner(s) to deliver agreed commercial and strategic objectives globally.

Responsibilities:

  • Own day-to-day business for assigned partner studio(s), ensuring smooth operation and hand-off of operational needs through internal teams, ensuring overall health of the Partner is being addressed. 
  • Lead and execute the day-to-day business for Account, including delivery of the yearly budget, ownership of the executive/day-to-day relationship, communicating the critical developments of the business to senior management, etc. 
  • Drive influence for PlayStation’s long term strategic direction within assigned accounts
  • Champion the change within PlayStation that will drive partner and SIE's combined success---new products, new strategies, new data, new allegiances with cross functional teams, new policies, new ways of working 
  • Work with the Global Account Director, Policy, Legal, Partner Marketing, social, to help codify and execute “SIE Creator’s Playbook” - PlayStation strategy for identifying and optimizing opportunities for successful UGC creators on PlayStation and through owned channels
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of the Partner’s business, portfolio, and long-term strategic vision. 
  • Identify business opportunities across Partner’s portfolio and live services. 
  • Provide guidance and be a potential first point of partner contact for content pipeline and other operational or technical situations that impact the rhythm of the business. 
  • Communicate business, platform, and policy updates to Partners. 
  • Execute external and internal business planning sessions to meet the needs of the Partner (JBRs, JBPs, Content Lifecycle Plans, Performance Reviews, Post-Mortems, and overall governance). 
  • Lead the Partner Commerce Team in establishing and executing Partner plans; understanding market dynamics, shifting consumer demands, and helping adjust priorities/account plans to meet future market needs. 
  • Support SIE’s operating models, plans, and deliver against collective Partner/SIE annual KPIs. 
  • Be a team player with a focus on building internal and external relationships and excellent collaborative cross-functional collaboration skills and team mentality. 
  • Participate in yearly budgeting and quarterly forecasting for the account set, helping to set expectations internally of the market, release slate, and overall status of the business. 
  • Participate in and support joint business reviews, Monthly/Weekly team meetings, business performance reviews. 

Qualifications: 

  • 6+ years in Account Management, Platform relations, Publisher relations, studio relations 
  • Strong verbal and written communications, strong executive communication 
  • Experience in Games Industry a must, knowledge of UGC/platform ecosystems a plus 
  • Ideal candidates are comfortable working with both small developers and larger publishers structures (i.e. knows how to interface with executives at large publicly traded companies, UGC creators, indies, & influencers)   
  • Analytically minded with data experience

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
$161,300$241,900 USD
