Sr Manager, Electrical Engineering
We are building a small team of versatile and enthusiastic leaders to create new products for the PlayStation community. Our team recently delivered the new PlayStation Link, PULSE Explore and PULSE Elite products, recently announced the FlexStrike and PULSE Elevate products, and are hard at work on what comes next. We need an experienced and innovative electrical engineering manager to lead our small team of electrical engineers developing new products and features.

Responsibilities:
In this role, you lead the EE team responsible for all of our high-profile product development efforts. This senior leader will be experienced and skilled in growing the capabilities of fellow team members and building strong relationships with internal and external partners, while also adept at hands-on EE design where needed.
Manage a small team of talented EE engineers
Guide team members in delivering overall system EE design, including review and individual support as team members implement and deliver detailed designs
Manage the RF system with partner teams and companies
Set high product standards for reliability and performance, and work with engineering and manufacturing partners to ensure designs meet the standards
Anticipate challenges in design and manufacturing
Skills:
A skilled manger and technically strong electrical engineer with strong product design approach
Cares deeply about supporting and growing direct reports to their greatest potential
Engaged at both the product design level (what should it do?) and the detailed engineering level (how should it be built?)
Experienced with small consumer products and new product development from initial concept through mass production
Effective bridging from a small core team working with and within large organizations
Comfortable spanning from high level program strategy and management to detailed engineering implementation
Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field, or equivalent work experience
10+ years of experience leading electrical design for small consumer products
3+ years in a personnel management role
Experience managing overseas manufacturing partners, external and remote development teams
Experience in the video game industry is not required, but interest and passion for gaming experience, digital entertainment, consumer electronics, and technology is vital
Working Conditions:
Small team environment; feels like a start-up within a large organization!
Travel (primarily international) required. Estimated 15%
