At Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE), the Client Developer Experience (DevEx) team is dedicated to enhancing developer productivity and collaboration. We design and maintain client workflow tools and platforms that streamline development processes, empowering engineers to innovate and deliver high-quality PlayStation products and services more efficiently. As part of the DevEx team, you will work on cutting-edge solutions that improve development workflows, directly impacting the speed and quality of product releases at SIE.
Job Responsibilities
As a Software Developer Intern on the Client Developer Experience (DevEx) team, you will contribute to enhancing our developer productivity tools and platforms. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the design, development, and testing of software features that optimize client workflows for PlayStation products and services
- Collaborating with senior engineers to implement improvements, troubleshoot issues, and document solutions
- Researching and prototyping new technologies
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of our development processes
Minimum Requirements
- Strong understanding of software development principles and practices
- Familiarity with programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or C++
- Experience developing web applications using frameworks like React, React-Native
- Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 features and modern browser architecture
- Experience or interest in developing tools and platforms to improve developer workflows
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and a positive, can-do attitude

- Our office is a fun, relaxed and casual environment. We’re a tight-knit community of about 50+ full-time employees, and we enjoy welcoming new co-ops each term (we typically have 5 or more)
- We're currently offering a hybrid work environment, with some folks working remotely and others working from the office. You can choose what suits you best! If you do choose to work remotely, you'll find that we connect heavily over Slack and video conferencing. During lunch breaks and team hangouts you'll find folks playing network-based games and connecting about things outside of work.
