IT Specialist
Housemarque is looking for an IT Specialist for a fixed-term contract of 12 months to join our in-house IT team.
THE JOB
Do you have a passion for problem solving and helping people? Do you enjoy tinkering with computers and providing excellent customer service? Do you want to improve your skills in a diverse and challenging technical environment?
Housemarque is looking for a service oriented IT Specialist to join our IT team. You will work side by side with IT specialists and SysOps to ensure seamless support for all of our employees. In the IT team you will be a key contributor ensuring that game developing is easy and smooth and done with the right hardware and software. Your responsibilities will include working in Helpdesk, onboarding our personnel and developing our IT policies and practices alongside with the team.
You’ll work on-site in Helsinki with our IT team. You do not necessarily need prior work experience in the games industry, as long as you are as passionate about supporting game development as we are. At Housemarque you’ll be a part of an independent and responsible team backed by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
What will your day-to-day look like?
Providing hardware and software support for our 100+ users
Helping users with network issues (Network config, VPN, etc.)
Working in IT helpdesk in rotating shifts
Planning and handling IT purchases
Managing hardware, software and licenses
Patch management
User access management
Developing our IT practices and policies alongside with the team
What will help you to be successful in this role?
Initiative, responsibility and ability to work in a team
Fluent spoken and written English
Problem solving and prioritization skills
Experience in writing clear, short instructions for users
Service mentality, patient and diplomatic
Being able to assemble computers from parts
Experience in Active Directory management
Understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems
Hands-on mentality
These can further add to your success:
Familiarity with working in global corporate environment
Experience troubleshooting and managing corporate level AV equipment (Crestron, Logi Sync, etc)
Experience with infosec tools and practises
Experience with Mobile Device Management
Experience with centralized workstation management systems

This is a fixed-term, full-time position based in Helsinki, Finland. The ideal contract duration is 12 months, starting in December 2025.
