About the role:

The Financial Specialist reports directly to the Manager, Financial Control, with additional guidance from the Financial Controller. In this role, the Financial Specialist will be part of a team of five finance professionals.

The Finance team is responsible for managing the accounts of SIEB, as well as overseeing the accounting activities of Guerrilla B.V., a game development studio based in Amsterdam with approximately 365 employees, and Nixxes Software B.V., a game development studio based in Utrecht with around 90 employees.

This is an initial 7 month contract.

The European Finance function is consolidated at Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe in London, to which the local finance team reports.

Main tasks:

  • Coordinate and monitor the quality of the Accounts Payable processes executed by the Shared Service Centre in India.
  • Prepare and post monthly intercompany invoices for the entities listed above.
  • Treasury tasks as payments on the local bank account, bank recs. for the entities listed above
  • Support colleagues with Purchase Order (PO) related questions and issues
  • Act as the first point of contact for internal and external inquiries related to AP and intercompany charges.
  • Identify bottlenecks and initiate process improvements within the financial for AP and Intercompany
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing with AP activities.

Experience and knowledge:

  • Completed MBO/HBO degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, or Business Economics.
  • 2–4 years of relevant work experience in financial administration or controlling.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical skills, proactive, and detail oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with international teams.
  • Fluency in both Dutch and English, spoken and written, is required.
  • Affinity with process optimization and digitalization.

The ideal candidate has a broad experience and is willing to take things up, investigate and solve matters in various areas. The candidate has a pragmatic approach to challenges, has a lot of energy, attention for details and people. The ability to work in a fast-changing matrix environment is required.

PlayStation offers a flexible working policy; in agreement with the team, you are expected to work from our offices in Hilversum, Utrecht, and Amsterdam on multiple days per week.
